A bit about me

Many years ago, I studied a degree in Art at university and sundry humble but successful exhibitions followed. It wasn’t until later that I discovered a love of illustration. In recent years I have studied under the guidance of renowned illustrator Rebecca Dautremer at the PXL MAD School of Art – Belgium,  and completed several Pitch Perfect Portfolio Illustration Course’s under the direction of Margrete Lamond. Throughout this time I have worked towards developing my portfolio and refining my illustration style.

For me, making art has always meant communication with other human beings about human experiences. Making illustrations contextualizes that idea into stories for children of any age!

Please take a look at some of the examples of my work on my gallery page or view a range of recent illustrations in my projects collection. Or simply enjoy perusing the works below.

  • Seven different sketches of Goldilocks and seven different expressions of the bears illustrated in hues of pink, purple and lemony yellow.
  • An illustration of the opening page of Fraser's contemporary illustration of Goldilocks and the three bears.

I recently completed a series of illustrations from the beloved fairy tale “Goldilocks and the three bears”. These are of course my impressions of the story line imagined as a contemporary rendition of the tale.

My wild and wonderful illustrations based on Walter de la Mare’s beloved poem “Someone Came Knocking” are also featured as a collection here .

Some kooky cats from my picture book illustrations for Stripy Cat Hadn’t Thought Of That.

Finally, a selection of images from my first full-length picture book, Deliciously Spooky complete the overview of illustrations featured.
